Early concept sketches for a Kalaa Haus lamp

Being an engineer, I always wanted to be part of the creative world, and spent enormous amounts of time in IT instead. It paid the bills, sharpened the logic, but it never quite scratched the itch of making something with my own hands.

So, as a hobbyist, I started pursuing art again. Slowly, sketching turned into drawing, drawing turned into painting, and somewhere along the way, I picked up 3D printing — first just for fun, with basic keychains rattling off the printer bed one after another.

What began as a curiosity became a deeper pursuit. I started learning more, pushing further, and eventually moved from small trinkets to designing lamps and everyday products — pieces meant to live in a home, not just sit on a shelf.

That journey is what became Kalaa Haus: art, layered with light, made by hand and by machine in equal measure. Every sketch on paper still becomes a print on the bed before it becomes a lamp on your table — the same process, page 1, every time.
